Over the years, we’ve developed a methodology for investor communications that works.

It’s why 45% of the startups we’ve supported have successfully raised and our entire team is carefully trained in this methodology.

OUR NORTH STAR

We believe the best indicator of whether a pitch deck consulting firm like ours is actually effective or not is the percentage of startups that successfully raise capital after working with us. We also track the total amount of capital raised, which we are excited to announce is over $250 million, but feel this metric disproportionately favors later-stage financing rounds. Our North Star KPI keeps us focused on what is most important: getting more startups funded.

We are constantly looking for new ways to improve our process. In order to track our progress towards that end, we update our North Star Metric annually by following up with clients and tracking their respective CB/PB profiles. Below are the updated numbers for 2022.

We’ve worked with 203 startups in total, 132 of which attempted to raise capital…

To put this in perspective, only 0.05% of startups get VC funding.

OUR FOUNDERS STORY

"After working with Angel Investors, I realized there was a big need for pitch deck support within our LA startup ecosystem. It was just budding at the time, with most founders completely lost on what investors wanted. It felt (and still feels) ridiculous that a pitch deck could be a barrier to fundraising, so in 2017 I launched Pitch Genius. In the beginning, it was just a Meetup I held at a friend's coworking space in DTLA. I would teach entrepreneurs the basics of pitching investors and handed out cheap business cards (they were neon yellow for some reason). The workshop was my way of gathering data on the potential opportunity, building trust within the community, and my hope for meeting new clients. Soon I had a brand, a WIX website, packaged services, and eventually, a full client load of founders who lived all over the world and trusted me to craft their pitch. I strictly built investor decks for early-stage startups for the next eight years with a single mission for the company: getting more startups funded.

Today, with full humility, I am proud to say 45% of our startups have raised. With that said, we all know that a pitch deck alone isn't what raises capital; a strong founder with a fundable startup is what raises capital.
